Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking interpreters to interpret for IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, mental health evaluations, etc. Interpreters must have daytime availability.

Language needed: Creole - Immediate need

Location: Dover, Delaware - IN-PERSON

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Travel to local client sites, within the Dover, Delaware area

  • Provide Creole-English interpreting for school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, medical appointments, and more

  • Provide superior customer service

  • Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full fluency in both English and Creole

  • Daytime availability (between the hours of 9AM - 5PM)

  • Availability to support our interpreting clients 5-10 hours a week

  • Access to reliable transportation

  • 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred, but not required

  • Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.), but not required

  • Candidates must be willing to get a background check including Federal, State, and Child Abuse Registry

  • Must have reliable phone service for contact

  • Must be comfortable with using a computer or smart phone for job input
