Reports to the Assistant Director of Workforce Development Operations;
Examples of Duties
-
Provides instruction for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy programs as directed and uses effective teaching methods
-
Responsible for monitoring and submitting daily sign-in sheets and other required forms in support of the program and documenting the progress of the students
-
Performs related duties as assigned
Typical Qualifications
-
Must hold a current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification (CCMA) as well as a Phlebotomy certification (CPT).
-
Minimum of three years of experience working in the field as a CCMA and have hands on experience in the following areas for at least 3 years or more:

Vitals
-
EKG's
-
Injections (Intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal),
-
Blood Specimen Collection (urine and other lab samples)
-
Infection Control and Aseptic Technique.
-
In addition to clinical skills, must have a broad command of Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology.

Possess working knowledge of front desk duties and the ability to obtain patient histories.

Strong computer skills using Word, Excel, and EMR

This is a part-time position working up to 26 hours per week.

Must be available to teach days, evenings, and weekends at any Atlantic Cape location
Paid sick leave in accordance with NJ Sick Leave Law
Defined Contribution Retirement Program (DCRP) (https://www.nj.gov/treasury/pensions/pension-active-dcrp.shtml)
Eligible part-time employees will be enrolled into the DCRP (Defined Contribution Retirement Plan) pension (https://www.nj.gov/treasury/pensions/pension-active-dcrp.shtml) . Employees contribute 5% of their base salary and the college contributes 3% of base salary. Investment options are managed through Prudential Retirement. Life insurance benefits through DCRP are payable to the beneficiary at 1.5X the member's salary.
