About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at Aviano Lanes (Area 1). This is a NAF position assigned to the 31st Force Support Squadron at Aviano AB, Italy. Scheduled tour of duty may require evenings, weekends, and holiday work hours. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Applicants will be categorized by preference(s) and/or priority consideration eligibilities. An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 08/31/2026 The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is US Citizens or NATO country citizens with a valid US permanent resident card and Social Security Number. In accordance with the Status of Forces agreement between Italy and the US, you must be at Aviano AB on orders and be a US citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a US permanent resident card. Italian citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, may be eligible for local national positions on base. Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas. Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country. The 31st Force Support Squadron is not currently providing logistical support. Applicants must provide proper documentation indicating they are already a supported member of Aviano AB. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Typing skill is desirable. General knowledge of Microsoft Office business software programs is desirable. Experience which has demonstrated arithmetic aptitude and ability, accuracy and attention to detail; progressively responsible experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody, or other processing of cash and cash items. Must have experience which provides basic knowledge and understanding of bowling center operations. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Provide administrative support to the facility. Position acts as the Lead Recreation Aid. Maintaining various suspense files, regulations, directives, inventory control files and posting changes as required. Assists in compiling correspondences, reports, forms, and other related material. Prepares various reports and other statistical and financial data pertaining to the activity. Provides information regarding operations to the manager. Answers telephone, receives visitors, provides requested information, pick up and distribute office mail and correspondence. Performs cash management and accountability duties. Completes appropriate NAF reports summarizing previous day's business transactions, and deposits daily cash receipts. Responsible for manning the customer service desk when necessary. Assign bowling lanes, operates control console, rent shoes and sells items in pro shop. Opens and closes the bowling facility as required. May assist with leading, scheduling, training, and oversee daily activities of other employees engaged in the performance of their duties. Maintains time and attendance cards/records. May be required to operate a government vehicle. Performs other related duties as required.
