Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Pads Transformer Assembler - 2nd Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facilty! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour, plus a $1.35 shift differential per hour.

What you’ll do:

The Pads Transformer Assembler uses final assembly operations for electricity transformers in accordance with established standard methods and procedures.

In this function, you will:

  • Perform tasks across various work centers, including tank breakdown, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, palletizing, final assembly, and testing.

  • Attach and install component parts and sub-assemblies onto transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands).

  • Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system.

  • Place and anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks.

  • Execute repetitive hand assembly, fitting, and adjustment operations.

  • Use small power hand tools as required.

  • Assist welders with the installation of hoods and seals.

  • Address any nonconforming parts or products through rework.

  • Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.

  • Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.

  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.

  • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Nacogdoches, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
