Job Family: Cyber Consulting Travel Required: Up to 10% Clearance Required: Active Secret Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Cyber Team - Cybersecurity Risk & Compliance Consultant. The Senior Consultant will lead a workstream led related to cybersecurity risk management and risk governance within the agency. This position provides leadership and subject matter expertise in cybersecurity risk management and risk governance. This position involves ensuring that the cybersecurity risk governance practices will be meet or exceed Federal and agency requirements. What You Will Do: Oversee, manage and lead the development and execution of cybersecurity risk governance including maintaining and improving enterprise-level risk register and overseeing specified technology risk assessments. Some examples of technology risk assessments are Tier 1 risk assessments that will support Technology Review Board decision-making, preparing risk acceptance memorandum for CISO and CIO approval, conducting limited FOCI-style assessments to support agency decision making when combined with other Tier 3 level assessments of these systems or applications. The Senior consultant should be adept at interpreting and adapting required guidance for Tier 1 enterprise risk assessments, scoping these technology risk assessments, confirming appropriate outputs and required elements and preparing deliverables to support agency decision making based on knowledge of risks and mitigating controls. The senior consultant should be capable of preparing plans and setting goals with regard to improving the cyber risk register, ensuring available data can support agency cyber risk profiles and prepare and implement corrective action plans to close out any related open GAO or OIG recommendations related to this workstream. Advise on and incorporate federal cybersecurity frameworks into evaluations/assessments as applicable, such as NIST IR 8286, SP 800-171, SP 800-60, SP 1800-39A, FIPS 140-3 and FIPS 199. In addition, the senior consultant should ensuring that all activities meet or exceed Federal requirements, and where possible leverage best practices. Prepare and update risk management plans, standard operating procedures, project schedules to ensure efficient program operations. Present complex technology risk assessment findings and recommendations to technical and executive audiences, including preparing briefing materials in weekly reports and to specific audiences. Advise on severity of the assessment results and recommend courses of action to government stakeholders. The Senior Consultant should remain flexible while ensuring compliance and adapt the guidance and technical assistance to ensure success given resource constraints, variability in knowledge of requirements and the strategic direction provide by government leadership. What You Will Need: An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. Minimum of FIVE (5) years of relevant cybersecurity experience, OR a Master’s Degree AND Five (3) years of relevant experience. US Citizenship is contractually required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically in report writing. Certified in one of the following OR another relevant field: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC), Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) / Certified in Governance, Risk and Compliance (CGRC), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) What Would Be Nice To Have: Experience consulting at large federal agencies such as the Department of State, Department of Justice or Department of Homeland Security on cybersecurity audits and / or IT controls Demonstrated experience in the areas of external client-facing management and/or consulting for large firms The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
