Full job description
We are seeking an experienced Road Construction Heavy Hauling Driver to transport heavy equipment, construction materials, and machinery to and from job sites safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, experience hauling oversized loads, and the ability to work in a fast-paced road construction environment.
Full Time/OT/Traveling
Responsibilities

Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including lowboys, flatbeds, tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and other heavy-haul equipment.

Transport oversized loads, heavy equipment, and roadway construction materials while ensuring safe and timely delivery.

Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials in compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.

Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.

Coordinate with supervisors, dispatchers, and field crews to ensure timely deliveries.

Follow all company, DOT, and safety regulations.

Assist with equipment maintenance and job site support as needed.

Travel and work overtime, nights, weekends, and out-of-town projects when required.
Requirements

Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.

Minimum 2 years of heavy hauling or construction trucking experience preferred.

Experience hauling oversized and heavy construction equipment.

Knowledge of DOT regulations, load securement, and permit requirements.

Ability to safely operate in construction zones, uneven terrain, and varying weather conditions.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance knowledge preferred.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Ability to climb, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, and secure loads.

Ability to enter and exit trucks and trailers repeatedly throughout the day.

Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and physically demanding conditions.

Assist the crew with general labor duties as needed.
