Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for projects located in the Buffalo, NY area . This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $50/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Heavy Equipment Operator and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
-
Safely operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, skid steers, backhoes, motor graders, rollers, telehandlers, and off-road equipment

Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation
-
Load, move, and stockpile materials safely and efficiently
-
Excavate around existing underground utilities
-
Read grade stakes, site plans, and blueprints
-
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
-
Communicate effectively with supervisors and ground crews
-
Follow all OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements
Requirements
-
Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience
-
Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment
-
Experience in commercial, civil, utility, roadway, or site development projects
-
Ability to read grade stakes, blueprints, and site plans
-
OSHA 10 Certification is a plus, but not required
-
CDL, NCCCO, or other equipment certifications are a plus
