Behavior Technician | School-Based Opportunity
$31/Hour | 32.5 Hours Per Week | 9-Month School-Year Contract

We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to support students with behavioral and educational needs in a school setting. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with students, educators, and behavioral specialists to help create positive learning experiences and promote academic, social, and behavioral growth.
With a competitive pay rate of $31/hour , this role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and supporting students with special needs.
Position Summary
The Behavior Technician facilitates educational and behavioral services for students with special needs and collaborates closely with teachers, school staff, and behavioral specialists to support individualized learning and behavioral goals.
The successful candidate will help implement behavioral interventions, reinforce positive behaviors, and provide support that enables students to thrive in the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with behavioral and developmental needs.

Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and educational strategies.

Support students in achieving academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.

Collect and document behavioral data as directed by the educational team.

Reinforce positive behaviors and appropriate social skills.
-
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school psychologists, and behavioral specialists.
-
Assist with classroom management and student engagement.
-
Support students during instructional activities, transitions, and school routines.
-
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school and district policies.
Qualifications
Required
-
High School Diploma or equivalent.
-
Ability to work effectively with students and educational staff.
-
Current CPR certification, if applicable.
-
Current TB screening, PPD, or chest X-ray, if required.
-
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
-
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred
-
Two (2) years of pediatric experience.
-
Previous experience working with students with behavioral challenges or special needs.
-
Experience in educational, behavioral health, ABA, childcare, or related settings.
-
Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
