QA Technician

Job Title: QA Technician

Location: Paterson, NJ

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $22-$25/hr

Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite

Hours: M-F 6a to 3:00pm (occasional weekends during production)

Requirements

• 5+ year of QA or food manufacturing experience (dry/powders/bakery/spice)

• Experienced in GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Good communication and problem-solving abilities (bi lingual Spanish is a plus)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

• Ability to work on the production floor throughout the shift

• Highschool/GED minimum or Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology

• Must have car, no mass transit

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality checks and inspections throughout production and warehouse areas

• Monitor compliance with GMPs, food safety policies, and company procedures

• Conduct line checks, product evaluations, and in-process inspections

• Collect and document quality data accurately and timely

• Verify product labeling, packaging, coding, and specifications

• Monitor sanitation and housekeeping standards throughout the facility

• Assist with product holds, releases, and non-conformance investigations

• Support environmental monitoring and allergen control programs

• Report quality and food safety concerns to management promptly

• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation

• Assist with internal audits and audit preparation activities

• Participate in corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives

• Support employee GMP and food safety compliance efforts
