Full-Time Psychiatric APRN - Northwest Florida Community Hospital Clinic

Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our growing outpatient clinic team. This full-time position provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality mental health care to patients across the lifespan in a supportive, collaborative healthcare environment.

Position Summary

The Psychiatric APRN is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health conditions. The provider will conduct psychiatric assessments, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.

  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders in accordance with evidence-based practices.

  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management.

  • Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic health record.

  • Ensure compliance with all hospital, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Current Florida APRN license in good standing.

  • Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

  • DEA registration and prescriptive authority.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Previous psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred.
