Job Title: Block Operator

Job Description

The General Laborer supports daily block manufacturing operations by overseeing block production, stacking and loading finished product, monitoring and operating machinery as needed, and maintaining a clean and safe facility. This role involves repetitive, physical work in a manufacturing and construction-related environment and requires flexibility to work long shifts, multiple days per week, and varying start times.

Responsibilities

• Oversee block operation to ensure consistent and efficient production.

• Stack and load blocks safely from conveyors and other production areas.

• Monitor and operate block‑making machinery as needed to support production flow.

• Assist in creating orders and pulling tickets to ensure accurate fulfillment.

• Unload finished product from conveyors and stage materials for shipping or further processing.

• Perform general labor tasks including sweeping, housekeeping, and facility clean‑up.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity.

• Work 10–12 hour shifts, up to 6 days per week, as required by production demands.

• Remain flexible to work both day and night shifts and adjust to changing start times.

• Stand, walk, lift, and perform physical tasks on your feet for extended periods.

• Follow all safety procedures and use hand tools and equipment properly.

• Demonstrate strong attendance, reliability, and a consistent work ethic in a manufacturing and construction-related environment.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work 10–12 hour shifts, up to 6 days per week.

• Willingness to work both day and night shifts and up to 72 hours weekly.

• Flexible with start times and shift changes based on operational needs.

• Able to operate, monitor, and support block‑making machinery.

• Comfortable performing repetitive, physical labor in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to unload finished product from conveyors safely and efficiently.

• Willing to perform general labor tasks including sweeping and housekeeping.

• Able to stand, walk, lift, and work on feet for extended periods in outdoor conditions.

• Experience with loading, unloading, and general labor tasks.

• Ability to use basic hand tools safely.

• Strong attendance, reliability, and dependability.

• Comfort working in environments related to construction, concrete, or solar.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Block manufacturing or block handling experience preferred but not required.

• Experience in construction, concrete, or solar industries is a plus.

• Comfort working in a physically demanding, outdoor manufacturing setting.

• Willingness to learn machinery operation and production processes.

Work Environment

The role is based in an outdoor manufacturing setting under a bay that is not air conditioned. You will work in hot conditions, standing and walking for long periods of time while performing physical, repetitive tasks. The environment involves exposure to concrete and construction-related materials, with regular use of hand tools and interaction with block‑making machinery. Work hours can extend to 10–12 hour shifts, up to 6 days per week, with both day and night shifts and flexible start times.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haines City, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
