Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs on production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.

  • Adhere to all ISO, environmental, and company policies and standards.

  • Support operational improvement initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on:

  • Cold and hot stamp presses

  • Robotic systems

  • Laser equipment

  • Weld assembly equipment

  • Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions in a timely and effective manner.

  • Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs to minimize production downtime.

  • Set up and prepare equipment to meet production requirements.

  • Assist with die change operations.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform maintenance tasks.

  • Maintain daily 5S standards and work area organization.

  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation using Captor/SAP systems.

  • Utilize Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) knowledge to support machine operations, troubleshooting, and efficiency improvements.

  • Support team success through:

  • Continuous improvement initiatives

  • Cross-training and knowledge sharing

  • Filling in at other workstations as needed

  • Problem-solving activities

  • Supporting operational metrics and production goals

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Previous maintenance experience preferred.

  • Journeyman certification or equivalent maintenance experience strongly preferred.

  • Manufacturing maintenance experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to follow standardized work instructions and procedures.

  • Experience supporting press, robotic, and laser operations.

  • Strong machine operation and maintenance knowledge.

  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Welding experience preferred.

  • Basic PLC knowledge and troubleshooting ability.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, reach, and use hands continuously throughout the shift.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and up to 25 pounds overhead.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • May be exposed to varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.

  • Ability to understand verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members.

  • Must be able to maintain concentration and attention to detail over extended periods.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.

  • Capable of handling the demands of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Strong critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
