Temp to Hire
Production Maintenance Mechanic
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience)
We are currently hiring experienced Production Maintenance Mechanics to join our team at a wire recycling facility. If you have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and enjoy working in an industrial production environment, we'd like to hear from you.
Available Shifts
We are hiring for the following shifts:

5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
-
4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
-
9:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Work Schedule: Either Sunday through Thursday or Monday through Friday
Position Summary
The Production Maintenance Mechanic works closely with the Maintenance Manager to support production operations by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing mechanical and electrical repairs on production equipment throughout the facility.
Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
-
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems
-
Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems (480V, 220V, and 110V)
-
Perform welding and light fabrication as needed
-
Operate cranes, loaders, and forklifts safely
-
Maintain maintenance records and documentation
-
Assist with special plant improvement projects
-
Anticipate production maintenance needs to minimize downtime
-
Participate in on-call/stand-by duties when required
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications (only apply if you have this experience)

Journey-level maintenance mechanic experience preferred

Strong knowledge of:

Mechanical systems
-
Gearboxes, gears, chains, sprockets, and bearings

Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
-
Lubrication systems
-
Industrial electrical systems and motor controls

Experience with welding and fabrication
-
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and organizational skills

Team-oriented with a positive work ethic

Knowledge of industrial safety practices

Valid driver's license
