Full job description

Ready to Be a Titan? You'll be part of the Aspire engineering leadership team, responsible for the technical direction of quality and test automation across our platform. Aspire brings ServiceTitan's product to the green industry (landscaping, lawn care, and related field service businesses), supporting both web and mobile experiences for office staff and crews in the field. We're quality minded, use modern tooling, and need someone who can balance rapid iteration with high product quality standards while staying comfortable with ambiguity in complex cloud and mobile systems. We're looking for a highly technical, forward looking engineer to own the technical vision for test architecture and automation strategy on the squad, someone who wants to shape framework design, mentor a mixed seniority team, and drive an AI first approach to how automation gets built. What You'll Do: Own, end to end, the short and long term technical vision for test automation and quality architecture across cloud and mobile systems. Design, build, and scale resilient, reusable frameworks. Be accountable for major technical decisions on test strategy, partnering with the Quality Manager to define automation approaches across complex systems (a successful lead influences these decisions without having to make all of them alone). Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps experience preferred). Provide technical mentorship to a mixed group of senior and early career engineers: conduct code reviews, drive best practices, and delegate work to grow skill sets. Compile and analyze quality metrics, including flake risk, execution performance, and release gates, and communicate outcomes to engineering leadership. Share technical knowledge through design reviews, tech talks, or documentation. What You'll Bring: Equivalent of 7+ years in senior engineering roles with deep focus on automation testing and framework building (or comparable software development experience). You're a role model as an individual contributor and expected to guide your team's technical decisions while still contributing alongside them. Advanced proficiency in general purpose programming, with expert level command of modern automation tooling, including Playwright (TypeScript) and Maestro (YAML). Deep understanding of black and white box testing, API and integration testing, and system level validation across web and mobile. Experience with an AI first approach to automation and architecture. Familiarity with Jira, XRay, Confluence, Claude, and GitHub. Strong communication and technical writing skills, with the ability to work across engineering, product, and quality management stakeholders and deliver outcome metrics to leadership. Be Human With Us: Being human isn’t about checking every box on a list. It’s about the experiences we have, people we meet, and the perspectives we share. So, if you have the skills but are hesitant to apply because of your background, apply anyway. We need amazing people like you to help us challenge the conventional and think differently about the problems that we’re solving. We’re in this together. Come be human, with us. Use of AI Technology: We use technology, including automated and AI-assisted tools, to support certain aspects of our recruitment process. These tools are designed to improve efficiency and enhance the candidate experience. AI tools are not used to make hiring decisions; all hiring decisions are made by our hiring teams. What We Offer: When you join our team, you’re not just accepting a job. You’re making a career move. Here’s how we’ll support you in doing some of the most impactful work of your career: Flextime, recognition, and support for autonomous work: Flexible time off with ample learning and development opportunities to continue growing your career. We offer a comprehensive onboarding program, leadership training for Titans at all levels, and other programs and events. Great work is rewarded through Bonusly, peer-nominated awards, and more. Holistic health and wellness benefits: Company-paid medical, dental, and vision (with 100% employer paid options and 90% coverage for dependents), FSA and HSA, 401k match, and telehealth options including memberships to One Medical. Support for Titans at all stages of life: Parental leave and support, up to $20k in fertility services (i.e. IUI and IVF), surrogacy, and adoption reimbursement, on demand maternity support through Maven Maternity, free breast milk shipping through Maven Milk, pet insurance, legal advisory services, financial planning tools, and more.
