We have an exciting career opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer in the Electrical Engineering Department located in San Diego, CA (Poway, CA). This is position general supervision with limited review, this position supports the design and development of advanced electrical components, equipment and systems for unmanned air vehicles. Assignments are normally accompanied by general instructions and suggestions, outlining possible approaches, sources or information.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for analog, digital and power conversion circuit design with appropriate analysis and/or CAD modeling.

Responsible for control schemes, analog, digital or software, magnetic and electric machine design and/or specification, EMI design, thermal analysis and packaging.

Documentation necessary to support production (i.e. test procedures, records, bill of materials, ICD’s, SCD’s, ECO’s and production support) and training.

Required to provide field support as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

Typically requires a bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
