Full job description
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY:

Supervises the daily operations, activities and projects for facilities and grounds of The Queen’s Medical Center - Wahiawa.

Ensures that the buildings, grounds, equipment and systems are in compliance with regulatory requirements and policies and procedures of QHS.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Frequently near mechanical and electrical systems including high voltage distribution systems

Frequent climbing of ladders and low level scaffolding.

Some exposure to solvents and welding operations.

Work may require 24/7 availability to assist with trouble calls and projects.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management or related field; OR one of the following: Associate’s degree in a facilities related maintenance technology and two (2) years experience in facilities/maintenance may be substituted for the education requirement; OR Four (4) years progressively responsible experience in facilities/maintenance may be substituted for the education requirement.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- No certification and/or licensure requirement.
C. EXPERIENCE:

In addition to the education requirement, two (2) years facilities operations experience, including maintenance, subcontract management, HVAC, electrical, and energy management control systems, preferably in a comparable organization.

Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.
-
Prior work experience with regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA, ASME, etc. codes and standards.

Building design and/or construction experience preferred.
