Description
Position Summary: The Telecom Technician Lead will participate in the installation or maintenance and inspection of telecommunication systems and associated processes.
Role and Responsibilities:

Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites
-
Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
-
Oversee and coordinate any subcontractors work that may be working under the Telecom department
-
Coordinate equipment and specialty material deliveries and stagging requirements
-
Establish work completion and punch lists in accordance with established Quality Control and Quality Assurance Programs
-
Ensure the necessary equipment and materials are always available to maximize productivity
-
Lead helpers or apprentices in appropriate tasks
-
Installs cable supports, through floor and wall sleeves, fire stopping materials
-
Install relays, cabinets, network switches
-
Terminates data, voice, coaxial, control, and fiber optic cables
-
Install cable trays above and below floors
-
Ability to work in small spaces
-
Test cables to TIA/EIA level II standards with cable analyzer and fiber test equipment

Educational & Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma

5 years of field experience, trade school, or apprenticeship
