Optometrist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs comprehensive eye examinations and evaluates patients for vision problems, injuries, and eye diseases.

  • Analyzes test results, discusses findings with patients, and recommends appropriate treatment or vision correction options.

  • Prescribes corrective lenses and medications as appropriate and provides education on eye care and treatment.

  • Maintains accurate patient records, including examination results, prescriptions, and treatments.

  • Properly operates and maintains ophthalmic equipment and ensures equipment is in good working condition.

  • Addresses patients’ questions and concerns and provides quality, patient-centered care.

**Minimum Qualifications **

  • Current, valid, and unrestrictedCA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

  • Minimum of 1 yearof recent experience as a Registered Optometrist.

  • Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
