Chris-Craft, a leader in luxury boat manufacturing, is seeking an experience Upholstery Sewer, for our Upholstery department, to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality in our world-renowned boats. If you are detail-oriented, passionate about quality, and thrive in a hands-on environment, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

You'll perform all aspects of sewing associated with production of various boat model types of cushions, v-berth beds, etc. May include pattern cutting.

Responsibilities:

  • Able to read and understand work instructions

  • Able to meet production deadlines and stay on task

  • Able to maintain sewing machine

  • Know how to change needle, bobbin and adjust machine tension, etc.

  • Learn all boat part names and how to read travelers

  • Learn all colors of vinyl and threads

  • Learn to sew flat pieces and comforters using double top stitch, single top stitch and zippers

  • Learn how to sew all boat parts

  • Learn how to repair sewn covers

  • Willingness to cross-train and learn other areas with a good attitude

  • Other duties as assigned

What you Bring:

  • Minimum 1 year sewing experience with upholstery

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Manual dexterity

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools

  • Attention to details, deadline oriented and organized

  • Basic math skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good attendance and good attitude needed

Physical Requirements: Including, but not limited to:

  • climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs. stretching, squatting and bending.

  • May work on knees, seated, laying down, standing up.

  • May require individual to be in awkward positions.
