Full job description
Job Duties
- Responsible for following all Safety, Environmental, and Health policies and programs
o Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures in compliance with company and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DNT, DOT, ect.)
o Report unsafe conditions to your immediate supervisor
o Ensure PGP is adhering to all MDA (MN Dept. Ag) regulations
Good neighbor policy
Prevent Spills (Chemical and petroleum) by conducting preventative inspections
Clean up and report chemical and oil spills.
- Responsible for Application of Fertilizer and Chemicals
o Maintain technical updates of machines and software
o Apply Chemical and Fertilizer with Precision on customer fields
o Maintain working knowledge of rates and use of Ag Chemicals and surfactants
o Report to Supervisor equipment in need of repair
o Maintain working knowledge of every application equipment and how to repair common problems without calling for help
- Fertilizer Plant and Chemical Storage Area
o Unload incoming fertilizer trucks
o Load out Fertilizer to customers as needed
o Load or unload seed from delivery trucks or Loadout Customer Seed
o Maintain and Service ALL equipment in Plant and Storage Area
o Perform housekeeping weekly or monthly of Plant and Storage Area
o Perform general maintenance of all buildings, keeping in good shape.
- Shop Area and Equipment Warehouse
o Keep Shop area in an orderly appearance, per Good Neighbor Policy
o Ensure all safeguards are in place on tools or surrounding area
o Perform general maintenance of all buildings
- Preventative Maintenance of Rolling Stock
o Follow Preventative Maintenance Schedules
o Regularly clean equipment as necessary
Wash outsides of equipment (Pickups weekly if needed)
Clean cabs thoroughly
o Report all necessary equipment repairs to supervisor
o Forward all completed PM reports to Clarkfield main offices for entry into UpKeep
- Housekeeping
o Keep a logbook current of all weekly inspections and cleanings
o Forward completed weekly reports to Clarkfield main office before month end
o Keep all areas clean as to inspection expectations and cleaning record
- Operations
o Drive tender truck when needed
o Assist PGP in other locations when needed
o Assist customer with products purchased at PGP
o Responsible for all maintenance and records of location Rolling Stock and buildings
o Follow Seasonal tasks as needed in a timely manner
Snow Removal
Lawn mowing
- Perform other duties as assigned
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Chemical Handlers & Seed Treatment License (Prairie Grain Partners may assist the employee to obtain, if they do not already have)

Commercial Applicator License Category A&C (Prairie Grain Partners may assist the employee to obtain, if they do not already have)

Class A Commercial driver’s license

This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job.

Must be eligible to legally work in the United States

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record acceptable to the Company and safely operate all motor vehicles and equipment.
