CPV Manufacturing, an industrial valve manufacturer located in Kennett Square, PA, is looking for a Valve Assembler to join our team. This position is focused on producing valves and valve components. At CPV, there is an opportunity for everyone to make a big impact on our success, and this position is critical in our operation. We offer a generous PTO and holiday schedule, comprehensive benefits package, tuition reimbursement, and a Monday through Friday 6:30am - 3:15pm schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Review the work order traveler, assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to assemble valves and other components

Clean valve and fitting assembly components following requirements that are called out

Visually inspect components for defects prior to assembly

Assemble product following engineering drawings, work instructions, and bill of materials

Conduct pressure test on assembled valves to verify they meet requirements

Record assembly and testing data using ISO 9001 documentation practices

Maintain tools and equipment, including preventative maintenance
-
Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
-
Helps to maintain assembly area supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and notifying supervisor when levels are low
-
Work in the cleanroom when required, following all cleanroom procedures to assemble product in that environment

Cross-train in other departments as needed

Qualifications:

High School diploma, technical education a plus

Mechanical aptitude
-
Attention to detail
-
Able to read basic blueprints
-
Proficient in use of mechanical tools and measuring devices

Quality focus
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work environment is on the plant floor

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Noise may be moderate to loud
-
Must be able to wear proper PPE

Must be able to lift 50 pounds
