Full job description
Growing and stable Aerospace/Energy precision machine shop located in Romulus, Michigan is seeking Experienced Machinists for full-time employment. Company has been in business for over 50 years with exceptionally low turnover. Advancement opportunities available. Company has a history of promoting from within.
Job Description:
Experienced Machinist - Operator must be able to set-up from standardized work instructions and verify that fixture and tooling are properly loaded. Responsibilities also include loading, editing, and verifying NC programs (tool changes, offsets, etc) and communicating with the process engineering department. A solid understanding of the GD & T and inspection techniques (in-process) is also required.
Flexibility in being able to operate either a CNC Lathe (2 axis) or CNC Mill (3-5 axis) and hold tolerances of 0.0005 is a big plus.
Job Requirements:
All positions require a high school diploma or GED and familiarity with common hand tools and measurement equipment. Applicants must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift. All applicants will be expected to pass shop math exam and pre-employment physical exam/drug screening. Experience within the Aerospace industry and super alloys (nickel based) a plus.
Experienced Machinists must have a minimum of 10 years machining experience. Journeyman machinist or equivalent documentation.
Must be a U.S. Person
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Salary: $42,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year

CNC Lathe: 1 year (Preferred)
