Full job description
Job Title: Slitting Operator
Location: West Caldwell, NJ
Type: Contract
Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 6:15 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (with potential for OT)
Responsibilities

Operate slitting and rewinding equipment to process raw materials, medical tapes, and coated laminates and films.

Complete in-process checks and batch record documentation accurately according to manufacturing orders.

Set up equipment correctly, including wind direction and tension settings, in accordance with SOPs.

Use slitting tools and machine components safely and effectively, including scissors, crush, and razor knives.

Label, package, and prepare finished materials for transfer or shipment as required.

Clean equipment and maintain the work area in compliance with safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards.

Complete all aspects of the slitting operation, including in-process control activities and batch record documentation accordance with manufacturing orders.

Follow manufacturing procedures and support safe, efficient production operations as needed.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
4-5 years of production or manufacturing experience.

Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in a manufacturing environment.

Basic math skills and ability to complete production documentation accurately.

Comfort using basic tools, equipment, and manufacturing machinery.

Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, tyvek suit, and other safety equipment as needed.
