Full job description

Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Business Systems Analyst to join our Enterprise Technology organization. This role blends a traditional Business Analyst position with light Scrum Master responsibilities across our Salesforce ecosystem, built primarily on Sales Cloud and Field Service Lightning. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and integration partners to make sure Salesforce initiatives are clearly defined and delivered without disruption.

This is a fast-paced environment where multiple initiatives run in parallel. We move quickly from stakeholder conversations to development-ready scope. You should be comfortable juggling several projects and competing deadlines without dropping quality.

You will act as the liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, translating needs into clear, buildable requirements. You will also serve as a trusted advisor on effective, scalable use of Salesforce, operating as an in-house functional consultant for the platform.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, proactive, and experienced with Salesforce and its integrations across the enterprise landscape, including platforms such as MuleSoft and Slack.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements and Documentation: Partner with stakeholders across sales, service, and operations to gather and document business requirements, functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows. Write requirements that account for the Salesforce data model, automation, security and sharing, and reporting. Deliver development-ready scope quickly.

  • Trusted Advisor: Serve as the in-house functional expert for Salesforce. Guide the business toward best-practice configurations and push back on requests that would create long-term complexity or technical debt.

  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Own several Salesforce initiatives at once. Track action items, deadlines, and dependencies across all of them. Triage competing demands by impact and keep every workstream moving. Provide regular status updates so leadership can track progress, weigh tradeoffs, and remove blockers.

  • Delivery and Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a delivery partner to product owners and delivery teams. Make sure scope, dependencies, and integration touchpoints across Salesforce and connected systems (MuleSoft, Slack, ERP, marketing platforms) are understood and managed throughout the project lifecycle. Lead initiatives that cross team boundaries, serve as the liaison between business and technology teams, and convene the right people early to align on scope.

  • Agile and Backlog Support: Facilitate or assist with backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Work with product owners to keep the backlog prioritized and stories well-defined, properly sized, and aligned with business goals.

  • Releases and Integrations: Support planning around Salesforce seasonal releases, sandbox refreshes, and new-feature adoption, including impact assessment and regression testing. Coordinate integration touchpoints with MuleSoft, Slack, ERP, and marketing platforms.

  • Risk, Process, and Traceability: Identify risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers early, especially across automation, the data model, security and sharing, reporting, and integrations. Recommend practical process improvements. Maintain high-quality documentation and traceability from business need through release.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in enterprise environments.

  • Experience supporting projects involving Salesforce and, ideally, integrations such as MuleSoft and/or Slack.

  • Understanding of core Salesforce concepts, including the data model, automation (flows and process logic), security and sharing, and reports and dashboards.

  • Familiarity with common Salesforce integrations and adjacent systems, such as MuleSoft, Slack, ERP, and marketing automation platforms.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to write clear, detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria quickly.

  • Strong experience on Agile or Scrum projects and familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certification such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Business Analyst.

  • Experience with our core Salesforce footprint (Sales Cloud and Field Service Lightning) and integration tooling such as MuleSoft.

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or another fast-paced, high-growth environment where systems must scale quickly.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Occasional standing and walking within the office

  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment

  • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports

  • Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies

  • Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
