Job Description:

Unit Highlights:

  • This facility houses a 40 plus bed Medical Progressive Care Stroke Unit in our new tower. Patient ratios depend on acuity and census ranges from 1:4-5.
  • The Medical PCU team responds to the Rapid Response Team calls in a fast and efficient manner.
  • This unit has an LPN Model and works together in a high energized family-oriented team alongside the rest of our whole team for best patient care outcomes.
  • Progressive Care serves all medical conditions within a well-equipped and spacious unit featuring computerized documentation technology.
  • Floating may be required between PCU and ICU units based on census.

Schedule: Full-Time - Nights - 645p-715a - 3/12s - rotating weekends and holidays

Job Description:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Education:

  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]

  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred] Work Experience:

  • 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred] Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

Pay Range:
