Scheduling and Supervision

Employees will work the shift(s) agreed upon at the time of hire. Staff must be willing and able to work at any of the group homes to which they are scheduled. Shift assignments will be made based on program and operational needs.

This position reports directly to the Program Manager. Employees will be scheduled to work at the designated group homes for which they have been selected and trained.

What Shift is Right for You?

We have the following full-time DSP shifts available to best meet your needs, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekend shifts. We will be hiring one person for each of these positions.

  • Wednesday through Wednesday 10:00pm - 8:00am

  • Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

  • Monday through Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm

  • Saturday through Sunday 8:00am - 10:00pm

Please note that all DSP shifts are designated as AWAKE shifts, irrespective of whether they occur during the day, evening or overnight hours.

What You Will Do

  • Increase clients’ quality of life through recreational activities, community outings, leisure activities, reading to clients, playing games, etc.

  • Assist with personal cares (showering, toileting, hygiene, getting ready for the day, meal prep, etc.)

  • Maintain a safe and clean home environment (assisting with laundry, cleanliness of living areas, ensure safe walkways/sidewalks, etc.)

  • Provide client behavior assistance, support, and behavior modification according to the client Treatment Plans.

  • Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients.

  • Provide medication administration to clients as directed by nursing staff and the treatment plan, as well as observe and keep accurate documentation.

  • Ensure effective communication and documentation. Conduct daily review of client communication logs and complete charting.

  • Be on time and ready to work. Maintain a steady pace at work and ensure tasks are completed by the end of your shift.

  • Complete required training by established deadline.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum requirements include:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent

  • Experience: To qualify for this position, you must have at least 2 years of job-related experience in a group home setting

  • Skills & Traits: “Can-do” attitude, team player, compassionate, respectful, patient, reliable, adaptable, and strong communication skills

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, an insured vehicle, and be able to pass a driver's license check and a background check
