Job Title: Production Worker Job Description

This role focuses on supporting a high-volume production line by unloading empty 55-gallon drums, placing them onto a conveyor system, and ensuring they move through a series of mechanical washing stations to the final shipping area. You help maintain a smooth flow of materials, perform quality checks on cleaned drums, and prepare finished pallets for shipment in a large, open factory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Unload empty 55-gallon drums weighing approximately 30–35 pounds each from trailers and place them onto the conveyor line.

  • Separate drum lids and place them onto their designated conveyor line.

  • Monitor drums as they move through multiple mechanical washing stations to ensure proper processing.

  • Perform ongoing quality checks on drums throughout the workday to confirm they meet production standards.

  • Stack cleaned drums onto pallets in the final shipping area in an organized and stable manner.

  • Prepare full pallets for pickup by the shipping team and ensure they are ready for transport.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area around the conveyor, washing stations, and shipping zone.

  • Follow all safety procedures while lifting, moving, and stacking drums and lids.

  • Stand and move continuously throughout the shift to support production flow.

  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to report issues, defects, or equipment concerns.

Essential Skills

  • At least 6 months of factory or production work experience.

  • Ability to stand for the entire workday without assistance.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds repeatedly and safely throughout the shift.

  • Strong attention to detail when performing quality checks on products.

  • Ability to perform repetitive general labor tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Capability to work safely around mechanical washing equipment and conveyors.

  • Basic reading, writing, and speaking skills to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in general labor or factory work.

  • Comfort working in a warm and humid environment.

  • Reliability and strong work ethic in a production setting.

  • Willingness to follow established processes and safety protocols.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
