Join our team as a Laundry Aide to support our award-winning retirement community.

Compensation: commensurate for experience between $15.00 - $17.00 hourly

How you will make an impact

  • Cleaning and folding laundry for our residents and restaurant linens in the Nursing Home according to established policies, procedures, and health regulations

  • Keeping soiled laundry separate from the clean laundry

  • Checking personal clothes, making, sure each item is properly identified (including the ironing of independent personals).

  • Reporting any lost, damaged, or unclaimed clothing items to Lead/Supervisor.

  • Delivering all linens and resident's clothing to the appropriate floors and resident’s rooms (including the delivery of independent items)

  • Maintaining daily record keeping.

  • Filling in for other housekeeping duties as necessary

What you will need

  • General knowledge of laundry systems critical to safety and welfare

  • Previous experience in laundry services is desirable.

  • Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time. Ability to push, pull or lift a minimum of 25 pounds and a maximum of 50 pounds with assistance, such as carts, laundry bags, and linens. Strenuous pulling while unloading washers, dryers, repetitive motions. Mandatory wearing of a safety belt.
