Full job description

Shift 1L (5:00 AM-1:30PM)

How you will do it

  • Assists Electricians, Welders, and Assemblers as necessary for projects as time allows.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Able to braze AND solder copper pipe ½” – 4”.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
  • Able to work with PVC pipe
  • Experience with power tools.
  • Performs other assigned work as required.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and follow SOP’s.

Required:

  • Proven experience as an industrial plumber, with a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.
  • This position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards. Safety policies must be always adhered to. Personal protective equipment (i.e., safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and others) must be always worn where required.
  • It is very important that the incumbent of this position can work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.
  • Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Appropriate credentials and certifications.
  • Ability to work shift work.
  • Ability to work in small spaces.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
