Job Title: QA/QC Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control efforts on a utility-scale solar construction project. This role will work closely with field teams, project management, and subcontractors to ensure all electrical installations meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections of electrical installations, including DC/AC wiring systems, combiner boxes, inverters, and switchgear, as well as grounding and bonding systems.

  • Verify construction aligns with engineering drawings, project specifications, and NEC and applicable codes/standards.

  • Support inspection and test plans (ITPs) and documentation processes.

  • Conduct and document pre-installation inspections, in-process inspections, and final acceptance walkdowns.

  • Track and report non-conformance issues (NCRs) and support resolution efforts.

  • Maintain detailed quality records, reports, and turnover documentation.

  • Collaborate with field superintendents, electrical foremen and crews, project managers, and engineers.

  • Assist in coordinating with third-party inspectors and client representatives.

  • Support commissioning readiness and punch list completion.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience in quality assurance, electrical inspection, and project management.

  • Knowledge of electrical codes and solar electric systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as a QA/QC Tradesman is beneficial.

Work Environment

This role is onsite at a construction solar farm (green field).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Effingham, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
