?? Contract Length: 39 Weeks (Full School Year)
?? Gross Weekly Pay: Up to $1,425/week ($38/hour)

We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Educational Sign Language Interpreter to provide 1:1 support for a high school student in a general education setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to help ensure equitable access to learning, communication, and classroom participation.
?? What You'll Do

Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa

Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers

Support academic success and classroom engagement

Assist with accommodations outlined in educational plans

Maintain confidentiality and professional interpreting standards

Collaborate with school staff to support student achievement
? Qualifications

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
-
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interpreting, Deaf Studies, or related field preferred

Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) preferred
-
RID certification preferred
-
Proficient or developing EIPA score required if not currently credentialed

Current CPR certification if applicable
-
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years old

Minimum Requirements:

Proficiency in American Sign Language

Associates degree or Bachelors degree in interpreting, deaf studies or related field, preferred

State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (as applicable)
-
Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certificate (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)
-
Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification ( as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)
-
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
-
Current CPR if applicable
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
-
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
