Job Duties

Work 50 hours per week Monday - Friday 7:00A.M - 5:00P.M and Saturday 7:00A.M - 12:00P.M

Job Duties: Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and primarily John Deere self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, beets, soybeans, edible beans; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Move snow; Regulate conditions including picking rocks and removing weeds from edible bean fields; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items; Position tote bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers.

Approximate staggered entry: 4 workers to begin July 1 and 4 workers to begin Sept 22.

This job involves manual labor, lifting up to 50lbs, extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over and repetitive movements.

Minimum Education Required

No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed.

Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.

Additional Compensation

Employer may, at the company’s sole discretion, pay workers at a rate above the minimum required and/or provide additional compensation such as bonuses, fixed salaries, PTO, insurance, incentive pay, or other benefits to any worker employed under this job order based on lawful, non-discriminatory factors including skill, performance, tenure with the employer, licensing, training, punctuality, or prior related experience.

Job Benefits

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (updated 4/7/2026). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
