Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, designs, markets and underwrites commercial property/casualty and professional liability insurance products for select industries. We are looking for an Underwriting Production Spec. to join our Human Services team!

Summary:

  • Determines acceptability, conditions and pricing of specific property & casualty (P&C) insurance risks and agrees on coverage within regulatory requirements, corporate product offerings and designated authority level. Responsible for specific agency, region or LOB efforts and acts as a front-line referral source for more junior underwriters.

  • A typical day will include the following:

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of loss experience and business conditions of key accounts, regions or agents as well as loss trends and any relevant legal or economic factors regarding the property & casualty business line.

  • 80% of role comprised or production related responsibilities. 20% of role comprised of referral, training, special project and agency relationship mgmt.

  • Assist in the training and development of coworkers as directed by management.

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all products, services, priorities and target markets in the property & casualty line of business or insurance segment.

  • Underwrites large, complex property & casualty (P&C) insurance risks.

  • Participates on a team of underwriters and other staff to meet the property & casualty insurance and service needs of large multi-product customers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum 7 years of related experience; an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted
