Kadima Health and Nursing at Palmyra is looking to hire a PTA to join our team!

Our mission at Kadima Health and Nursing at Palmyra is to offer quality care to our residents, and to provide for them a loving and compassionate environment, attending carefully to their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.

Treatment Implementation: Conduct therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities as outlined in the PT’s plan of care.

  • Administer physical agents such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound. Assist and train residents in using devices like walkers, canes, and prosthetics.

  • Observe residents before, during, and after therapy; report status changes or adverse reactions to the supervising PT.

  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and billing records, in compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., CMS standards).

  • Instruct residents, families, and facility staff on prescribed exercises, safety techniques, and discharge plans.

  • Maintain established productivity levels and efficiency standards set by the administration.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

  • Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification is often required.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing is typically preferred.

Physical Requirements

The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for long periods, kneel, stoop, and lift or move patients and heavy equipment
