Description

MCR Safety Group, a Bunzl company, is looking for a Corporate Account Support Rep based at our headquarters in Collierville, TN. The Corporate Account Support Representative is responsible for supporting activities related to assigned corporate accounts. This role is primarily an inside sales and account support position with limited travel. The position works closely with customer sales teams, sourcing and procurement teams, purchasing operations, branch networks, customer service teams, and field sales representatives to support account growth, strengthen customer relationships, and drive revenue opportunities. The Corporate Account Support Representative serves as a key liaison between assigned accounts and internal departments to ensure exceptional service, operational efficiency, and overall account success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with account support phone lines, shared mailboxes, and customer inquiries.

  • Serve as a primary contact for assigned customer sales and support teams.

  • Participate in customer meetings, sales events, business reviews, and other account-related activities as needed, which may require local and overnight travel of approximately 9 days per year.

  • Assist with planning and attending customer conferences, meetings, trade shows, and sales meetings as required, which may require overnight travel of approximately 5 days per year.

  • Add and update opportunities in Dynamics CRM.

  • Complete documentation for new item proposals, approvals, activations, and customer-specific requirements as needed.

  • Assist with customer RFPs, bids, and business development opportunities, including coordination with Marketing to complete product crossovers and supporting documentation.

  • Support initiatives to improve customer scorecards, performance metrics, and overall account satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with internal departments regarding customer inquiries, requests, and issue resolution.

  • Assist with customer service activities and account support needs as required.

  • Resolve supply gaps by coordinating with sales and inventory teams to prevent stockouts of critical SKUs.

  • Analyze customer sales data, purchasing trends, sales velocity, and point-of-sale information to identify growth opportunities and buying trends.

  • Follow up on product sample requests and customer-generated leads.

  • Complete and follow up on sourcing requests, quotations, pricing opportunities, and special projects.

  • Monitor account activity, sales trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Provide proactive outreach and support to customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Maintain at least three (3) new Dynamics CRM opportunities per week.

  • Achieve a monthly closed-win ratio of 30%.

  • Complete a minimum of five (5) proactive calls per day.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate degree preferred.

  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of sales and/or customer service experience supporting commercial business accounts, preferably within the PPE, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or related industries.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Solid experience in pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.

  • Demonstrated ability to research accounts, identify key decision-makers, and generate customer interest.

  • Ability to convert opportunities into business results while maintaining established sales metrics.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience with SAP and CRM software preferred.

  • Travel up to 10%
