CASUALTY PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM SPECIALIST

You will serve as a CASUALTY PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY, & HEALTH DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF. For GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating and coordinating radiological casualty preparedness and emergency response drills for a emergency management program. For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector monitoring effectiveness or coordinating management of radiological casualty responses for an emergency management program. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will plan, schedule and participate in or conduct complex drills, assessments, and investigations to evaluate level of preparedness. You will review PSNS and IMF casualty preparedness and drill program instructions and plans for adequacy with emphasis being placed on compliance with federal and NAVSEA requirements and recommendations. You will provide ongoing input to the Code 106 drill program, maintaining records of evaluations, studies and surveillance results. You will use written and oral communication skills to maintain various reports,. Security clearance required: Secret

Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: For GS-11:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related to the position.
