Position Overview
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Bilingual Associate Therapist (ACSW or AMFT) to support a school district in the Jurupa Valley/Riverside area for the 2026–2027 school year .
This school-based position is focused on parent involvement, family engagement, and community outreach , helping strengthen connections between families, schools, and community resources. The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting parents and caregivers through outreach, education, advocacy, and resource coordination.
Spanish fluency is required , as this role serves a predominantly Spanish-speaking parent and caregiver population.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, culturally responsive, community-oriented, and passionate about empowering families to actively participate in their children's educational success.
Key Responsibilities

Engage and support parents and caregivers through district family engagement and community outreach programs.
-
Serve as a liaison between families, school staff, and community organizations.
-
Provide outreach, brief counseling support, case management services, and community resource referrals.

Facilitate parent workshops, trainings, and informational sessions in both English and Spanish.

Support family engagement initiatives designed to improve student attendance, participation, and academic success.
-
Assist families in navigating educational systems, mental health services, and social support programs.
-
Collaborate with administrators, counselors, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to address student and family needs.
-
Participate in Student Success Team (SST), Individualized Education Program (IEP), and family support meetings, as appropriate.

Maintain accurate documentation, service records, and program reports.
-
Utilize trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practices when working with families and communities.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Active California registration as one of the following:
-
Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) , or
-
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)
-
Bilingual in Spanish and English (verbal and written) – Required
-
Experience supporting families through community outreach, parent engagement, case management, or related services preferred
-
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-building skills
-
Ability to effectively work with diverse cultural and socioeconomic populations
-
Reliable transportation for travel between school sites, if required
-
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
-
Must meet all district, state, and federal employment requirements
-
Must be available for the full 2026–2027 school year
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous experience in a school-based setting
-
Experience in nonprofit, community mental health, or family services programs
-
Knowledge of local community resources and support systems
-
Experience facilitating parent groups, workshops, or family education programs

Familiarity with trauma-informed care, restorative practices, and family-centered interventions
