A Registered Polysomnography Technician is a lead worker who has demonstrated expertise in performing various types of sleep testing procedures. The technician is capable of identifying various abnormalities and performs tests adhering to Department standards to consistently produce records of high technical quality. The Registered Polysomnography Technician acts a resource person for the Licensed Polysomnography Technician. Education Requirements: 1) Graduation from an accredited Polysomnography program with an AAS, registered (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and a valid Polysomnogram License in NYS. Or 2) Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an AAS and a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy License in NYS. Sleep disorder specialist adds on or are registered (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, preferred. Experience Requirements: One to three years' experience in a sleep lab. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to use applied technology in a clinical setting. Pay Range: $32.29-$46.82

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
