Shift:Days

Daily Work Hours:11:00 am - 7:30 pm

Scheduled Hours per Pay:80

Position Summary:

Transports patients and supplies to and from patient care areas and various other departments. Supports nursing staff.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Transports patients between departments and units as directed

  2. Supports nursing staff by performing nurse aide duties when needed

  3. Transports specimens, supplies and equipment to and from departments as directed

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Successful completion of a Nurse Aide training program, or 6 months experience as a Nursing Assistant in a Healthcare facility, or completion of fundamentals if enrolled in an Accredited School of Nursing program

  • BLS certification within 3 months of hire

Preferred:

  • Current State of Michigan certification

  • Previous experience as a Nurse Aide

  • Medical terminology
