Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN III Days- NICU Unit for Texas Health HEB

Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022
Work hours: PRN Level III/per diem, Days Shift; 7 am-7 pm; minimum requirement: 6 shift/per 6-week schedule, 2 weekend shift/per 6-week schedule, 1 major/2 minor holiday requirement

Work environment: The Siratt Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital has a part-time opportunity for an experienced NICU RN.

16 bed NICU unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month

Maternal Designation III
Here's What You Need
-
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
-
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
-
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
-
NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days of hire
-
NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation within 90 days of hire
-
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
-
1 year experience as a Registered Nurse required
-
Current NICU experience strongly preferred
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
-
Assesses the patient
-
Plans the care of the patient
-
Intervenes as appropriate
-
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
-
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
-
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
