Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Compressor Mechanic to support natural gas compression facilities. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling engines, compressors, pumps, motors, and other rotating equipment. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Caterpillar 3600 engines, Ariel compressor frames, and natural gas facility operations.
This is a hands-on field role requiring strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, independent decision-making, and the ability to work safely in industrial environments.

Skills and Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

5+ years of experience maintaining rotating equipment within natural gas facilities, compressor stations, or similar industrial environments.

Experience working on Caterpillar 3600 engines.

Experience working on Ariel compressor frames.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic experience.

Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment overhauls.

Knowledge of pumps, fans, motors, compressors, and related mechanical systems.

Experience utilizing diagnostic software and precision tools.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
•Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting equipment, climbing, standing, bending, and working outdoors. • Natural gas compressor station experience.

Midstream oil & gas experience.

Experience tuning gas compression equipment.

Experience with emissions systems and controls.

Strong understanding of industrial safety practices.

Experience working on diesel, gas, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
