Practical Nursing Instructor: Classroom and/or Clinicals - Adult Workforce DevelopmentGENERAL DESCRIPTION:Great Oaks Career Campuses' Health Professions Academy is seeking dedicated part-time faculty members to provide instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings for their adult practical nursing program. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to nursing education, demonstrate expertise in their specialty area, and be passionate about fostering student success and professional growth. While expertise in areas such as medical-surgical, pediatrics, maternity, and mental health nursing is highly desirable, it is not required.Primary responsibilities include:- Delivering engaging and effective instruction in lab, clinical rotations, and classroom- Developing and preparing high-quality lesson plans aligned with curriculum- Conducting comprehensive student evaluations of knowledge, skills, and clinical competence- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date student recordsREQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:- Completion of an approved registered nursing education program- At least two years of nursing practice as an RN- Two years' experience in specialty areas (med-surg, pediatrics, maternity, or mental health) a plus but not required- Functional abilities for classroom, clinical, and lab teaching- Excellent written/oral communication, analytical, teaching, and classroom management skills- BSN preferred (ADN or RN diploma with relevant experience encouraged to apply)- Current, valid Ohio RN licenseESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes aligning instruction with objectives, collaborating with faculty, maintaining academic standards, planning clinical experiences with cooperating agencies, communicating objectives, supervising students in clinical settings, evaluating student achievement, contributing to program philosophy and objectives, developing teaching materials, adapting methods to student needs, maintaining currency in practice/education, regular and reliable attendance, and other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE: Registered Nurse: 2 years (Required). BSN preferred; ADN/RN diploma considered with experience.LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current, unencumbered, valid Ohio RN nursing license required.LOCATION: Health Professions Academy at Scarlet Oaks Career CampusSCHEDULE: As Needed: Hours vary based on program needs.SALARY/PAY SCALE: $37.92 per hour (Benefits not included)APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Submit online application at www.greatoaks.com.
