As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for the CentraCare Monticello Emergency Department, you serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. Responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients/families, guests, and providers as well as managing telephone communications, organizing and maintaining patient charts, and performing clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care.

Schedule

  • Part-time | 60 hours every two weeks | Onsite

  • Night shift | 12-hour shift

  • 7pm-7:30am

  • Every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays

Pay and Benefits:

Qualifications

  • One year completion of a hospital unit secretary program (or willingness to obtain within one (1) year of employment) preferred.

  • One-year clerical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Self-directed and ability to multi-task

  • Strong interpersonal human relations skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
