Job Description:

Shift: Monday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am

Part Time/ 32 hours week

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.

• Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.

• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.

• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma

• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately

• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility

• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry

• Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Patient care skills to care for Infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations

• Must be able to independently perform radiographic procedures to departmental standards

• Ability to learn and use radiology software packages such as Cerner, Radnet, PACS, etc.

• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety

• Ability to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail

• Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians

• This position requires knowledge of the use of computerized and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image quality

• Must be able to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energy

• Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast pace, high patient volume environment

• Must have the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care that addressed the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age appropriate needs to the patient population served within the department Education:

• Associate [Preferred]

• Bachelor's [Preferred]

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Work Experience:

• 1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT))[Required]

• Medical Radiologic Technologist License with Texas Medical Board (MRT) - [Required]

Pay Range:

$22.24 - $41.37
