Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Practice Administrator, Director of Site Operations or assigned Nurse Manager/Site Manager in Collaboration, provides direct and indirect care to a specified group of patients in a variety of ambulatory. Medical Assistants work in collaboration with the physician(s), or other health care provider(s), other ambulatory support staff within the department and with other disciplines to deliver patient care.

Performs all medical assistant functions in a medical setting for adult patients. Responsible for telephone triage. Renders patient care within the scope of their training, including obtains vitals, height, weight, SPO2 and blood pressure on all patients and documents appropriately into patient’s chart. Assists physicians with minor procedures. Prepares exam rooms and restocks supplies. Coordinates patient care with other providers and/or facilities.

Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties within their scope of practice in the following ambulatory medical specialties:

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program. Medical Office or outpatient experience preferred.

Certification/License: Medical Assistant Certificate preferred; B.L.S. required

Pay Range:

$21.00 - $28.26

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
