Job Description:
Screens patients for eligibility for Medicaid Presumptive Eligibility, Medical Disability, Long Term Care applications, and Hospital Financial Assistance Programs. Interacts with executives to obtain approvals for payment plans. Collaborates with Patient Representatives to address billing complaints. Documents and scans patient information accurately. Collects patient portions of medical bills. Maintains effective communication with physicians and staff. Promotes a positive and professional environment. Contributes to achieving departmental goals. Provides financial counseling to patients. Administers and manages payment plans. Writes off or adjusts patient accounts as necessary. Ensures compliance with financial assistance policies.
