Keller delivers sophisticated manufacturing solutions for many industries including Engineered Materials, Semiconductors, Robotics, Chemicals, Medical and Life Science, Energy Research, and Industrial Technologies.

We are currently seeking to fill the following position for our Buffalo location.

CNC MACHINIST - 2nd SHIFT

DESCRIPTION

The CNC Machinist will report directly to the Machine Shop Manager. This position will be an integral part of our growing, state-of-the art, machine shop, with 5 new machines in the last 3 years and another scheduled to be installed later this year. The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude who will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up, load and operate various 5 axis machines in cellular configuration

  • Programmers are responsible for main programing, machinists monitor and modify programs as needed.

  • Perform limited work with CNC vertical and horizontal boring mills

  • Participate in lean, continuous improvement and six sigma work teams

  • Be familiar with safety policies and procedures

  • Work safe and participate in safety meetings

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with 5 axis machines (3 or more years preferred – salary based on experience)

  • Must have experience with Mastercam programing and/or Heidenhain controls

  • Must be able to read prints and do basic shop math

  • Trade school or higher level education preferred
