We are hiring a People Ops & Office Coordinator to help run the day-to-day employee, candidate, and office experience at Salient. This is a hands-on, in-person role across recruiting coordination, onboarding, People Operations, employee experience, and office management. You will make sure candidates have a polished onsite interview experience, new hires start smoothly, employees know where to go for day-to-day People questions, and the office is organized, stocked, and running well. This is a great role for someone early in their career who is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and energized by being the person who keeps things moving.
What you’ll do Coordinate onsite interviews, including candidate schedules, interview rooms, office tours, and other logistics.

Welcome candidates and provide a thoughtful interview experience from arrival through departure.

Support recruiting events, university outreach, office open houses, and other hiring initiatives.

Lead new hire onboarding sessions, coordinate product demos, I9 verifications + E-verify.

Responsible for onboarding and off boarding of employees - softwares access, computer set up, desk, monitor etc.

Keep benefits information, onboarding presentations, People policies, and other employee resources current.

Coordinate employee communications, celebrations, team events, and engagement initiatives.

Manage day-to-day office needs, including ordering and restocking snacks, beverages, and supplies as well as keeping inventory accurate; keeping the kitchen presentable; and coordinating appliance maintenance.

Respond to office requests and communicate updates to employees.

Help create a welcoming, organized, and energetic office for employees, candidates, and visitors.

Serve as a first point of contact for general People Operations questions.
What we’re looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Hospitality/Event Management, Organizational Studies, or a related field

0–2 years of professional experience, ideally in people-facing role

Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Friendly, polished, and comfortable interacting with candidates, employees, executives, and visitors

Proactive and able to anticipate what needs to happen before being asked

Comfortable juggling many small details in a fast-moving environment
-
Excited to work in person
-
Low ego, high ownership, and willing to jump in wherever needed

Experience with Google Workspace, ATS or HRIS tools, event coordination, onboarding, or office operations is a plus.
