Behavior Aide (After School Bridge Program)

Location: Lodi & Stockton, CA Elementary Schools

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Hours: 2-3 hours per day | 10-15 hours per week

Employment Type: Part-Time

We are seeking compassionate, energetic, and dependable Behavior Aides to support elementary-aged students with special needs participating in an engaging After School Bridge Program . This program is designed to enhance students' academic, social, emotional, and physical development through enriching, hands-on activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing support to elementary-aged students with special needs in an after-school setting

  • Assisting students with homework and reinforcing core academic subjects

  • Facilitating enrichment activities such as arts, music, health, nutrition, and physical recreation

  • Supervising students to ensure a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment

  • Implementing behavior support strategies and guiding student behavior appropriately

  • Encouraging social, emotional, communication, and life skills development

  • Assisting students with participation in group activities and peer interactions

  • Maintaining attendance records and other program-related documentation

  • Collaborating with program staff and school personnel to support student success

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, particularly students with special needs, preferred

  • Background in education, special education, behavioral intervention, childcare, psychology, or related fields is highly desired

  • Ability to build positive relationships with elementary-aged students

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable, patient, compassionate, and professional demeanor

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • College coursework in Education, Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, or a related field is a plus
