Senior Systems Engineer - Aerial Systems

As a Senior System Engineer - Aerial Systems , you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the various aerial systems developed in Kela.
This is a highly hands-on and technical role. You will work closely with the development teams in the office, lab and the field.
- Drive the system architecture and detailed specifications for our aerial systems through rapid iterations and hands-on prototyping.
- Support and oversee the transition of the products from prototype and certification phases into mass production.
- Deploy, configure, and integrate complex hardware and software components to ensure optimal system performance in tactical environments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, QA, field operations) throughout the entire system lifecycle
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation and provide training for team members on system updates, safety procedures, and compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in system engineering or related roles.
- Proven experience in multi-disciplinary aerial systems development including the flying platform itself.
- Knowledge and proven experience with aerial systems safety standards, compliance, and defense regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience scaling a product from prototype to mass production- a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with FPV drone development and operations - a strong advantage.
